copy of the News-N-Views monthly newsletter. All new
and renewed members get published in the newsletter.

of Chamber Bucks and participation in Christmas City
Cash.
- Annual
awards and recognition given to members at the Annual
Meeting.
- The
Chamber keeps an up-to-date database of the businesses
in Devils Lake. Labels may be purchased for $25. For
that price, its hardly worth your time and effort to
keep up with new business openings, address and contact
changes, ect.
- Free
copy of the membership directory
- Grand
Opening, Ribbon Cutting, or Business After Hours recognition.
- Ambassador
visit for new location, remodeling or ownership/management
change.
It is the policy of the Chamber to refer only
member businesses for the requests received daily by mail,
telephone and e-mail. The Chamber staff maintains the
highest customer service possible by making it a goal
to fill every request within 3 working days. On average,
that means processing 22 requests a day. Also, only members
receive the added benefit of being listed in the membership
directory, brochures and website.
Networking
Opportunities
The
Chamber provides you with numerous opportunities to network
with other business leaders at Chamber sponsored functions
such as committee meetings, the annual meeting and business
after hours.
Resource
Center
As
a Chamber, we know who, what, where, when and why. And if
we don't we at least know who to ask. We are a one-stop
resource center with the Chamber, Visitors Bureau and Forward
Devils Lake all housed in the same building.
Community
Services

The
Chamber maintains the community's master calendar of
event, local access channel, and website.

The
Chamber is the "Front Door" of the city supplying
relocation information that includes an apartment list,
convention and meeting packets and visitor information
to anyone requesting it.

Weekly
radio programs done by staff helps get the word out
about area happenings.

Supplying
hospitality businesses with racks and brochures helps
get information into the hands of guests.

Additionally,
the Chamber also responds to specific needs of the community
by creating committees to reolve issues:

Lobbying
Services
Decisions
made by government and elected official at the local,
state, and national level can either help or hurt your
business. Because you're running your business and may
be short on time, the Chamber acts as a watchdog adopting
positions and advancing agendas that will have a positive
affect on our members. The Chamber also develops and maintains
a close relationship with local elected officials, state
legislators, and the ND Congressional delegation tn Washington,
D.C. The Chamber further strengthens its voice by partnering
with other organizations like GNDA, NDACVB, and US Chamber.

Staff of the Chamber has vast experience in running
events and can be a great source of knowledge for you
to draw from. The Chamber coordinates the Trade, Craft, & Sports Show, ShiverFest, Ag Appreciation Luncheon,
and the Devils Lake Walleye Fishing Tournament.

If
it's volunteers you need, the Ambassadors (Red Coats)
are always willing to lend a helping hand.

The
Chamber's Tourism Committee is often in a position to
help offering advertising assistance or grant dollars.
