Region Trail System
The
Lake Region Trail is located in the east central part of the state.
This state system is approximately 300 miles.
It probably offers the most diversified type of riding on any of
our systems. There are tight, twisting trails to wide-open
runs to ditch riding.
This
system centers around the town of Devils Lake and goes northwest
and west to Penn, Churchs Ferry, Leeds, Minnewaukan and Devils Lake
State Park. To the northeast are Webster, Crary, and
Doyon. To the southeast we have Tolna, Pekin, McVille, and Aneta.
Just south of Devils Lake on Hwy 57 lies Spirit Lake Casino.
There will be a marked trail to get you to the casino and some super
new trails just south of the casino. There are five clubs
that do the grooming, grubbing, and signing of this trail system.
They are the Lake Region Snowmobile Club of Devils Lake, the Northern
Exposure Club of the Leeds area, the Spirit Lake Snowmobile club
of Ft. Totten, the Nelson County Prairie Regulators of the Pekin
area, and the Aneta Sportsman Club of Aneta. |
