So you are considering a Chamber membership and are wondering what your return on investment might be. There are many reasons to join the Chamber of Commerce. Some join to network with other businesses to give and get referrals. Others join for the marketing opportunities to the target audience we touch, such as tourists, relocation, local population, etc. Some of the reasons are a tangible means of measuring your return on investment. Most of what the Chamber does is an intangible, unseen benefit, such as sending out over 7,000 visitor packets, and having over 130,000 log in to the Chamber’s website.
For major projects, the Chamber took the lead as Public Information Coordinator in the 2010-2013 Devils Lake Basin Road project to keep our businesses thriving and current information out to our visitors. In 2018-2019, the Chamber also took one of the lead roles in the “Activate Downtown” project to revitalize and rejuvenate downtown.
