Birding

The Lake Region is a relatively flat landscape and is intertwined with wetlands and marshes. Often called “prairie potholes,” these wetlands were created by large continental glaciers during the last ice age and provide excellent habitat for a variety of wetland wildlife.

There are many areas around the region that provide a great viewing area for birds.
