Romantic Getaway

Start your couples day by enjoying a bloody mary or mimosa with breakfast at Proz Lakeside at the Cove while taking in views of the lake. From there you can rent a pontoon or fishing boat from Woodland Resort where Proz Lakeside is located. 

After spending the morning on the lake, take a stroll through the recently renovated downtown Devils Lake visiting the shops and eating lunch at one of the downtown restaurants such as Old Main, Thirsty’s, and plan stop in at Black Paw Brewery for a home grown craft beer. 

After taking in downtown take the scenic drive to White Horse Hill National Game Preserve to stroll the beautiful hiking trails or play some great tunes during the auto-tour.  On your way back towards Devils Lake, stop in a Spirit Lake Casino to try your luck on the slot machines or card tables. Grab dinner at The View located on the top floor of the casino with amazing panoramic views of the lake or you can also stop for dinner at The Ranch Steakhouse that is located on Highway 19 on the way back into Devils Lake from Spirit Lake Casino.
