The holidays are a time for giving and this year, the Lake Region Public Library is helping our community do just that with its first-ever Holiday Angel Tree!
From November 3rd through November 30th, the library will be accepting submissions for children ages 0-18 to take part in this new holiday giving program. Families can register online or in person at the circulation desk.
Once the tree is up, community members are invited to stop by the library, choose a tag (or "angel") from the tree, and shop for that child. Each tag includes helpful details like favorite colors, clothing sizes, and wish-list items. Sponsors are asked to return wrapped gifts by December 13th, and families will be able to pick up their gifts between December 15-20.
This new initiative is designed to make the holidays a little brighter for local children and bring neighbors together in the spirit of giving. Whether you’re sponsoring an angel, sharing the program, or volunteering to spread the word, your kindness helps make this first year a success!
