Devils Lake High School is pleased to invite local businesses to partner with our school and help create meaningful connections with our students.
We have many unique opportunities for businesses to showcase themselves to our students, parents, and community. Here are some exciting ways you can get involved:
Tailgate Sponsor – Contact one of our sports booster clubs and show your support by sponsoring a tailgate at one of our many home sporting events.
Friyay Mornings – Come welcome students to school on a Friday morning with music, energy, and encouragement! We set up right where most students enter the building and make every Friday a Firebird Friday! If you can’t join us on-site, show your support at your business by celebrating Firebird Fridays and wearing your favorite Firebirds apparel. Call Tammy Meyer at 662-1200 for more information.
Lunch Booths – Set up a booth during our two lunch periods to connect directly with students. Arrive by 11:15 and tear down at 12:45 just inside Door #1 at DLHS. Students especially enjoy the free swag our business partners often share!
Building Leaders Day – Share your expertise and experiences by speaking at our Building Leaders Day, tentatively set for April 8th from 8:30–3:30. There are eight speaking time slots available, and you may choose as many as you like. For details, call Ryan Hanson at 662-1200.
Career Fair – Be part of our annual Career Fair and inspire students to explore new opportunities. This event is held during Parent-Teacher Conferences at DLHS on October 9th from 4:00–7:30. To sign up, contact Ruth at 662-4903.
Classroom Guest Speaker – Visit a classroom to share your career journey, advice, and industry insights. Reach out to any classroom teacher whose students would benefit from your message.
Summer Job Fair – Set up a booth at our Summer Job Fair on March 25th from 8:30–12:30 at DLHS. Each grade level will spend a class period at the fair - meaning over 500 interview opportunities for your business!
Job Shadow Host – Provide students with the chance to job shadow at your workplace and learn firsthand about your industry.
Your involvement helps students see real-world opportunities, build community connections, and dream big about their future. Your visit may be the reason a young person decides to stay in - or return to - Devils Lake. You may even meet your future employee!
